Caring for your Purchase [top]

Before you begin, read the care label attached to the garment and any hang tags or care instructions included in garment packaging.

When hand washing is advised, we recommend using the following method:

  • Gently hand wash in cool water with a mild soap (we recommend our Fine Fibres). Never use chlorine bleach.
  • Gently press to remove excess water. Do not wring or twist: handle gently to avoid wrinkles and distortion.
  • Dry flat (lay out horizontally for drying).
  • Touch up with a cool iron (lowest temperature setting) as needed.

When machine washing is advised, we recommend the following method:

  • Machine wash in cool water (up to 85*F / 196*C) with a mild soap (we recommend our Fine Fibres) on delicate cycle. Never use chlorine bleach.
  • Hang to dry or dry flat (lay out horizontally for drying).
  • Touch up with a cool iron (lowest temperature setting) as needed.

When dry cleaning is advised, we recommend the following:

  • Seek out a reputable cleaner. ·
  • Bring with you any labels or hang tags that contain fiber information or care instructions.
  • Some wool may show pilling (the appearance of tiny balls on the fabric surface). Dry cleaning may increase their number but your cleaner should remove them as part of the finishing process.

Storage

When storing your purchase, we recommend the following:

  • Knit garments should always be stored flat to avoid stretching over time.
  • Plastic bags should never be used for storage unless water damage is possible.

Sizing Charts [top]

You can use the follow tips and indications to figure out which is the right size for you, then compare with the charts to find the perfect fit.

  • We recommend that someone else measure you If possible, and do it over undergarments.

Chest: Measure at the fullest part of the chest, keeping the measuring tape up under the armpits and over the shoulder blades.

Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of the natural waistline.

Hips: Standing with heels together, measure around the fullest part of the body (approximately 8" below natural waistline.)

Neck: Measure around the base of the neck.

Arm / Sleeve Length: Bend elbow slightly. Start at center back of neck and measure across the shoulder to the elbow and down to the wrist.

Outseam / Skirt Length: Measure 1/2" below the waist (at the waist for items without a waistband), and compare tape measure length to catalog item length. Our imported sweaters are knitted in standard American sizes. Actual measurements vary by style, but the chart below is a good guideline for size selection.
